Alea + Tylor // An Alaskan Elopement Story
When I first met Alea and Tylor, on the morning before their elopement in downtown Anchorage, they fed me waffles and eggs and told me about their love story. Both from Ohio, they fell in love in an unexpected and perfect way, and quickly knew they wanted to marry. Neither of them were keen on the idea of having a big wedding, because they felt too uncomfortable with being the center of attention—however, they still wanted to celebrate with their friends and family. So, they decided to take their wedding plans into their own hands and unite their lives in a way that felt most like them.
They chose Alaska as the place where they would elope, where they could explore the wild, rugged landscape and share their love together in a quiet, personal way. Upon their return, they would have a party with their people, and share their memories from the beautiful landscapes we had explored. They did their wedding the way they wanted, and it was perfect for them.
I am so lucky they chose me to document the beginning of their love story, in Alaska.
