Holly + Max // Maternity + Vow Renewal in Morro Bay

Holly and I met through a Facebook group for photographers a year and a bit ago, not knowing at that time that we would become friends, or that we would ever meet! Over time, she and I bonded over shared interests, beliefs, and life paths, so I was so honored when she asked me to capture her maternity photos for her.

Knowing Holly, I knew that she and Max had a long journey to pregnancy, and this baby was a truly special gift for them. I wanted to highlight that feeling in their photos, and create a warm and gentle mood for them in this pretty little coastal town.

We met in Morro Bay, a sleepy hideaway just past the furthest part of Highway 1 I had yet to venture. Holly and Max had chosen to do both a sweet vow renewal along with their maternity photos, so we took some photos around the coastal boardwalk, and then ventured to the beach for sunset. It was still fairly smoky in the air from the recent fires, but it created such a dreamy environment, and red sunset I won’t soon forget.
