2018 - A Year in Review

Oh 2018,

What a year this has been.

I started this year completely unsure of what it would look like by the end. I had booked a handful of weddings, we had recently moved into our little home, and we were coming off a high from all of our own wedding plans the previous few months. I had some amazing clients I was already looking forward to working with, but 2018 had so much more in store than I could have planned.

I have been incredibly lucky to capture love and the relationships in the way that I did this year. I have seen beautiful places—coastal towns, rugged mountain ranges, fairytale forests. I have met kind and generous and hilarious people. I’ve met some pretty freaking adorable babies too.

I have the best job in the world. I know that’s become some cliche phrase that photographers use, but I really, genuinely mean it. I get to use my talents to freeze moments in time, and share them with people so they can cherish it forever. I wake up every day with gratitude in my heart that I found my passion early in life—and I know how lucky that makes me. I am profoundly aware that not everyone can say the same, and therefore it is a privilege I hold dear.

So thank you: thank you to the clients who trusted me to capture your special moments this year. Thanks for hanging with me and being vulnerable in front of my camera and giving me your best selves.

Thank you, to the amazing photographers who assisted me at several of these weddings. You are all phenomenal and you helped me to tell the best stories with your talent.

Thank you, to those who have supported me, lent a listening ear when I got stressed, and pushed me to do my best work. Thank you Sid for helping me choose which photo to post on Instagram, and being my number one fan.
