Laura // Lena Medoyeff Bridal // Connemara, Ireland

Last month when I was traveling through Ireland, I reached out to my friend and fellow photographer Laura Stojanov when I found out she would be in Ireland the same time as me. She is living in France, and so I knew I had to make this happen while we had the chance. I didn't know her well, but I knew she was gorgeous and I simply had to shoot with her.  

I had teamed up with Portland-based bridal boutique, Lena Medoyeff, before my trip, and I knew I wanted to get imagery of the gowns in the rolling green hills of western Ireland. After receiving the gowns in the mail a few days before I left, I knew they would be perfect for my journey and vision.

Mine and Laura's original plan was to meet at the Cliffs of Moher, but after an unplanned popped tire on the drive there, a mixup in timing, and unsavory weather, we decided that was not going to be our best bet. However, to our luck, the next day we both had open schedules and decided to travel to Connemara National Park, which looked beautiful in every way. The day was overcast and moody, just the way I hoped it would be, and Laura and I clicked personalities almost instantly. We drove along Sky Road until we found the perfect pull-off, where I photographed my new friend to my heart's content. 

Laura is one of the most lovely individuals I've ever met--not only physically is she beautiful, but her heart is so kind and loving and good. I felt such a deep connection with her within moments, and I am so glad I got to photograph her brave spirit. I feel so grateful to know such a wonderful individual, even being in different parts of the world.
