Eric & Shayla // Seward AK Wedding

At the end of May, I had the opportunity to travel to Alaska for my third summer in a row to photograph a wedding. I was so excited to revisit the beautiful state I love so much, and see more of it this time than the last.

The wedding was to be held in Seward, a seaport town a few hours from Anchorage, and I had asked my dear friend Kristian Irey to join me as my second-shooter. Kristian and I ventured out into the mountains of Alaska that late May morning, and we talked the entire way about life, love, adventure, and photography. I was so grateful to have my friend by my side that day.

The wedding was everything we hoped it would be. An adventurous couple, a vintage Robin's Egg blue Chevrolet, gorgeous mountain views all around, and a party that lasted well into the Alaskan summer evening (and by that, I mean it never got dark, no matter how late it got.) I feel so grateful to have been entrusted to capture this day, and I loved every moment of it.
