Merissa + Cole // A Florence Couple's Session

I still can’t believe I got to shoot a couple’s session in one of my favorite European cities. When I found out I would be spending an extra day in Florence during my trip to Italy, I received a message from a beautiful photographer from Dallas, Merissa, mentioning that she and her boyfriend Cole would be in the city on the same day and would love to take some photos with me.

Of course, I jumped at the idea. While of course documenting a couple’s relationship can be beautiful no matter the location, Florence is a city I was dying to shoot in because I know it so well and there’s so much unique beauty around every corner.

We spent a good long time together wandering between spots within the city, ducking into quiet alleyways to avoid crowds and searching for gelato, which surprisingly, evaded us until the last moment. I have been to Florence something like five times now, so I knew my way around pretty well, and excitedly led Merissa and Cole from place to place, anxious to show them my favorite spots. It was so much fun, and I hope I get to shoot with many more couples in many other European cities to come!
