Anna & Vien // Yosemite National Park Love Story

I really love a good last-minute road trip. Sometimes you have an extra few days off of work and you decide you want to go somewhere really fun, but you're not sure where, and then an opportunity comes out of nowhere and makes your decision for you.

That's what happened a few weeks ago when my friend and fellow photographer Anna messaged me, telling me she was coming to California for a short trip, and wanted to hit up Yosemite along the way. I'd been looking for an opportunity to go back to Yosemite for a while now, and I hadn't seen Anna since we spent a week together in Iceland in 2014, so I knew immediately that that's what I wanted to do.

Once she told me she was bringing her boyfriend Vien along for their 7.5 year anniversary, I began planning an anniversary session for them in the park. Anna told me she and Vien had never had photos taken by another photographer, and that made it all the more special for me :) I was so ready for it.

Yosemite was, as always, unbelievably beautiful, and also unbelievably hot. But these two were so much fun to hang out with and photograph, and we had so much fun shooting in the forest, fields, and mountaintops. It had been a dream for some time to do a couple's session in Yosemite, and this lived up to every expectation.
